The Elephants are coming!  Meet our elephant family, based on the extraordinary herd at Thula Thula, game reserve in Empangeni, South Africa.  

 

The Elephant Whisperer is based on the international best selling, much loved memoir, by Lawrence Anthony and Graham Spence. 

 

Lawrence Anthony, a conservationist, was asked to accept a herd of "rogue" wild elephants on his Thula Thula game reserve in Zululand. He was the herd's last chance of survival. They will be killed if he won’t take them.  

 

This is the story of elephants and of the two men who save them - one falls in love with them and the second, a Zulu chief, learns to embrace a world in which elephants are more than just prey.

The Elephant Whisperer will be brought to the stage by an extraordinary creative team which recently won Olivier and Tony Awards for productions on both sides of the Atlantic.

 

We have 2 goals for our play: yes, to impact the protection of elephants and other endangered wild animals worldwide but we also promise to bring you exciting, powerful and haunting theatre, theatre which you will never forget.
